New Orleans History - Lake Pontchartrain A treasure trove of information about Lake Pontchartrain and its history decade by decade. This project was started by Catherine Campanella, author of Lake Pontchartrain, for her students at St. Philip Neri in 2000.

WPA Photographs - Lakefront. This WPA photo shows runways under construction at the Lakefront. The Louisiana Division of the New Orleans Public Library has an impressive online collection of WPA photos.
